According to internal sources, many believe it is only a matter of time before this Dutch bus plant also closes permanently. The uncertainty is heightened by VDL’s acquisition of the Belgian \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fmagyarbusz.info\u002F2024\u002F08\u002F17\u002Fa-vdl-hivatalosan-is-atvette-a-van-hool-macedoniai-gyarat\u002F\">Van Hool’s North Macedonian manufacturing base\u003C\u002Fa> in 2024, which, due to significantly lower production costs, could offer a competitive alternative for producing long-distance models in the long run.
